Y la verdad es que es lógico pensarlo. Soy un apasionado de Internet, las redes sociales y todo lo que rodea a las nuevas tecnologías, que en este siglo XXI nos están cambiando tantas facetas de nuestra vida. Y por eso es normal que creas que "quiero venderte la moto".
Pero no voy a empezar el artículo por detallarte cinco de las ventajas que un repaso online tiene frente un repaso presencial. Todo lo contrario. Empezaré por identificar en qué casos un repaso online no es para tí, y si te encuentras entre esas personas te puedes ahorrar seguir leyendo y tan amigos. Aunque luego te cuento por qué te puede interesar leer todo el artículo.
Verás...
- Si el tiempo del que dispones al día para todas la cosas que debas hacer te da igual y por lo tanto no te importa desperdiciarlo.
- O eres capaz de retener absolutamente todo aquello que te explican en clase, es decir, el 100% y para siempre. O sea que pasados unos días no necesitas volver a escuchar o leer más de una vez los contenidos de una clase porque te acuerdas de todo. (Enhorabuena si es así, yo jamás lo logré).
- Si te da igual poder gestionar tu horario porque tienes todo el tiempo del mundo y no te importa someterte a los horarios que te impongan.
- Si no necesitas poder consultar con tu profesor particular una duda cuando te surge y puedes esperarte 3 ó 4 días, o incluso una semana.
- Si odias Internet. Y conceptos como: foro de consultas, descargas de archivos, cuestionarios online, videotutorial, etc., te causan auténtico "dolor de vientre".
- Si eres de los enamorados de la pizarra y la tiza, o de las notas en papel improvisadas mientras escuchas al profesor, o de las fotocopias en blanco y negro cuando los esquemas e imágenes son en color.
Si eres una de esas personas, entonces los repasos online no son para tí. Y probablemente nada de lo que ofrezco en este proyecto te parezca interesante.
Pero tranquilo, ¡no pasa nada!. En el mercado debe existir la diversidad y no por ello eres un "bicho raro". Verás, si has leído mi presentación sabrás que llevo más de 25 años como profesor de refuerzo a estudiantes, y todo ese tiempo he trabajado con lo que llamo en este artículo el formato de repaso presencial. Es por ello que creo poder plantearte con mi experiencia las 5 ventajas que un repaso online tiene frente a un repaso presencial.
Ventaja #1 - Capacidad de retención de contenidos
¿Eres capaz de retener el 100% de lo que te explican en una clase presencial? Sea ya una clase en grupo o una clase particular. Seamos realistas. Rotundamente no.
No voy a cuantificar qué porcentaje de contenidos retenemos al acabar una clase, eso lo dejo para psicólogos y sociólogos expertos, pero está claro que no es el 100%. Y es más, una vez acabada la clase empieza el "olvido". Conforme pasan los días vamos perdiendo parte de los contenidos que retuvimos. Por ello tomamos apuntes, ¿cierto?.
Pero aún tomando apuntes, ¿no recuerdas esa sensación de anotar mientras el profesor explica y no darte tiempo a anotar todo lo interesante?.
Es más, acabas por limitarte a copiar simplemente lo que el profesor apunta en la pizarra, y mientras copias poco puedes atender a lo que explica. En fin... seguro que sabes a lo que me refiero.
Por otra parte... ¿no te ha pasado alguna vez que lo que copiaste de la pizarra lo copiaste mal y eso te "descoloca" cuando al cabo de los días revisas tus notas? Seguro que sí.
¿Por qué un repaso online es mejor que un repaso presencial en la capacidad de retención de contenidos?
Pues muy sencillo. Porque las clases están grabadas.
Vas a poder revivir la clase tantas veces como consideres oportuno. Si de algo no te acuerdas, ahí la tienes para volver a atender a la explicación.
Además, tienes todos los contenidos documentales de las clases para poderlos descargar: apuntes de teoría, ejercicios y exámenes resueltos, formularios, etc. Con lo que para disponer del contenido de la clase ya no tendrás que copiar de la pizarra mientras atiendes a la explicación. Te podrás centrar al 100% en la exposición del profesor.
Y encima tendrás los contenidos originales, los del profesor, y no los que has transcrito tú mismo copiando de la pizarra. Se acabaron esos errores por copiar mal que tanto dolor de cabeza te causan a veces.
Y si algo no acabas de entender. Ahí tendrás el foro de consultas y las clases online en vivo para poder preguntarle al profesor.
Con los repasos online tendrás siempre a tu disposición el 100% de los contenidos.
Ventaja #2 - Ausencia de las clases
¿No te ha sucedido alguna vez que caes enfermo? O que te surge un imprevisto y no puedes asistir a una clase de refuerzo.
Si es con un profesor particular, a lo mejor puedes solventar la incidencia programando la clase otro día, pero si asistes a un repaso presencial de grupo, la clase se da igual y tú te la pierdes. Luego ya sabes... a pedir los apuntes y lo de siempre...a transcribirlos y "rezar" para que no contengan errores.
¿Y si en lugar de una clase son varias seguidas? A veces uno cae enfermo y tiene para unos días. Desde luego esta circunstancia plantea un problema con un repaso presencial.
¿Por qué un repaso online es mejor que un repaso presencial cuando no puedes asistir a una clase?
Pues volvemos a lo de antes. Las clases quedan grabadas. Creo que no es necesario repetir la ventaja que eso supone ante una situación así.
Con un repaso online no te pierdes ninguna clase.
Ventaja #3 - Libertad de horarios y desplazamientos
Evidentemente si asistes a un repaso presencial debes someterte al horario impuesto de las clases. Si son clases particulares a lo mejor has tenido más opción a pactar un buen horario con el profesor, aunque no siempre es así. Pero si son clases en grupo la cosa es más difícil. Probablemente deberás adaptarte tú al horario programado para el grupo.
¿Es esto un inconveniente? Pues depende de como lo mires. Tal vez tengas suerte y el horario te encaje plenamente. O tal vez debas haber hecho algún ajuste en tu horario semanal para poder incluir las clases de refuerzo en tu agenda.
De todas formas, al margen de que hayas tenido que adaptarte a un horario. Tal vez esto no sea el inconveniente principal. Yo considero un detalle mucho más importante. Hagamos esta reflexión:
¿Realmente el alumno siempre está en su mejor nivel de absorción de contenidos en esos horarios?
Seguramente has aceptado los horarios de las clases porque no había otro remedio, pero muchos días ese no es el mejor momento para la clase. A otra hora igual tu predisposición para atender a las explicaciones y contenidos sea mayor, pero en fin...toca clase a la hora que toca.
Además, pensemos en que un repaso presencial tal vez te suponga desplazarte a una academia, y eso te supone una inversión extra de tiempo y aveces de dinero por aquello del transporte.
¿Por qué un repaso online es mejor que un repaso presencial en la gestión de tu horario?
Pues siento ser tan pesado pero me voy a repetir. ¡Las clases quedan grabadas!
Con un repaso online tú adaptas el horario a tus necesidades y no al revés.
Porque atiendes a las clases en el momento en que estás predispuesto al aprendizaje. Y no en un horario impuesto.
Además, ¡fuera pérdidas de tiempo en desplazamientos! porque asistes a las clases desde tu casa o allí donde estés.
Ventaja #4 - Coste del servicio
Ya sé que hoy día hay implantada esa filosofía de que en Internet "todo es gratis". Pero obviamente no es así. Internet es un nuevo escenario proporcionado por el desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías, que como decía al principio del artículo, nos están cambiando la vida, y la forma de ofrecer servicios profesionales también.
Pero un repaso online se trata de eso, de un servicio profesional, y como tal tiene un coste. Porque detrás del servicio hay una remuneración del profesional y unos costes en infraestructuras. Por si no lo sabías, además de la inversión en tiempo para ofrecer el servicio, mantener un sitio web tiene unos costes: servidor, tráfico web, dominio, mantenimientos, publicidad, aulas virtuales, etc... Como cualquier otra empresa tradicional.
¿Por qué un repaso online es más económico que un repaso presencial?
El coste de de la infraestructura de un negocio en la red, aunque no es nula, es muy inferior al coste de un negocio tradicional, y eso permite poder ofrecer mejores precios del servicio.
Ventaja #5 - Tarifa plana. No pagas por segundas ni posteriores utilizaciones de los cursos
Evidentemente acudir a un profesor particular o a una academia para recibir clases de repaso no es garantía de que aprovarás la asignatura.
Aprobar la asignatura al final depende de variables que quedan fuera del control del profesor de refuerzo. Lo sabes perfectamente y no voy a recordártelas.
"Ahora es cuando piensas que te diré que con un repaso online todo te irá genial, que tienes el aprobado asegurado y bla bla bla..."
¡Pues rotundamente no!. No voy a engañarte, no va conmigo.
Con un repaso online tampoco tienes esa garantía. En este aspecto ambos formatos "empatan".
Pero ¿qué pasa si tienes que repetir la asignatura y acudes al mismo profesor o la misma academia?
Lo más probable es que debas abonar el coste del nuevo servicio. O sea, pagar 2 veces. Y es lógico puesto que el negocio de un repaso presencial está basado en un servicio de intercambio de tiempo por dinero.
